The annual association and "ACNielsen" jointly publish an annual report on the international private label market, which contains statistics on the market share of 7,000 products from 20 countries. Private-brand products have emerged from the development in the West, and have become more and more popular in the world, especially in Europe and North America.
"ACNielsen" surveyed 80 products in supermarkets in 36 countries, of which 17% were private label products. In the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, the market share of private label products has exceeded 40%, France, Spain 30%, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, 20%, Central and Eastern Europe 18%, and North America also over 20 %. The market share of private label products in other regions of the world has also been increasing year by year.
